Olivia started dancing when she was four years old. At the age of six she came to dance at the Academy where she trained in tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, modern, lyrical, and pointe. She was a member of the Jackson Dance Company for eight years, before graduating from high school, where she focused on tap, jazz, contemporary, and ballet. Over time she put a greater emphasis on her development in tap and it has become her specialty. In college she continued her studies of modern, contemporary, jazz funk, and tap at Michigan State University where she is currently studying Elementary Education and Child Development. Olivia has been an instructor at the Academy since 2010 and has taught a variety of dance styles to students from ages 3 – 19 years old during classes, summer intensives, and private lessons. Aside from teaching, Olivia has also done choreography and stage management for the Academy. She is very passionate about teaching, dancing, and being a part of the Academy family and feels blessed to have the opportunity to help our students grow in their dance training, expression, and faith.
